Weekly Prompt: Kiss
This little bit takes place when Lucy is about 12 years old. I don't write romance stuff with my OC (cause she's Loki and Thor's little sister), so this happened. I was inspired by Countess Casualty, who wrote a story about Lucy meeting Sigyn. I've been wanting to do my own spin on this for a long time, so this week it happened
Lucy couldn’t believe it. She had been looking for Loki to show him a new trick that she had finally mastered when she heard him talking with someone in one of the tiny, hidden gardens on the palace grounds. She ducked into the bushes and watched him talk to a pretty blonde girl, about his age, and after a few moments of watching, he kissed her. Loki kissed a girl. Her brother, Loki, the trickster, kissed a girl. A pretty girl. And he had been keeping her a secret! She hated when he kept secrets from her. Especially about a girl!
She waited until Loki and the girl parted ways, then she ran after Loki, who had headed back to his chambers in the castle, leaving a bit of distance so that it wouldn’t be painfully obvious that she had been watching them.
“Loki!” Lucy called after him before he could open the door to his chambers.
“What is it Lucy?”
“So, um…” she didn’t know how to start. She hadn’t thought that far. “Well, I uh, finally got the star spell down.”
“That’s wonderful. You can show me tonight when it gets dark,” he said with a smile. “But, that’s not all you wanted to say, is it?”
‘Darn it, how does he always know?’ Lucy took a breath, then blurted it out. “Who’s the girl you were kissing?”
Loki raised an eyebrow. “So there was a little bird watching us.”
“Come on Loki, spill it.”
Loki cracked a mischievous grin. “Frankly, it’s none of your business little sister. And I’m not one to kiss and tell.” And with that, he panted a kiss on her forehead and slipped into his room.
“Oh, come on Loki!” she shouted from the other side of his door, which he had locked. “You’re no fun when you start kissing girls!”
“I can’t hear you!” Loki called teasingly.
Lucy groaned and took off into the air, racing down the hall. ‘I’m gonna find out some way or another Brother, just you wait.’
A few days passed, and Lucy kept looking for opportunities to figure out who Loki’s lady friend was, but she kept hitting dead ends. Until on a sunny afternoon when she and Loki were practicing hand to hand combat out on a training field. Lucy was clinging onto Loki’s back and he was having some difficulty getting her off. While she was giggling, she saw a pretty blonde girl walk by, holding a stack of books in her arms. It was Loki’s girl!
“Hey Loki, isn’t that your lady friend over there?” she asked, still having a death around his neck.
“Perhaps,” he said, finally pulling her off and swinging her to the ground. She tried to stop him, but he knocked her down and put a foot on her stomach, pinning her to the ground.
“So why don’t you let me up and we’ll go talk to her!” she said, irritated that Loki had pinned her but feeling mischievous.
“We are not going over to Sigyn.”
“Oh, so her name is Sigyn?” Loki let out a groan. Even Loki slipped up a few times. “How come you won’t let me meet her?”
“Because you’ll embarrass me,” he said coolly, watching Sigyn walk further away.
Just then, Lucy hatched a plan. A very mean plan. “Oh Sigyn!” she called, as she blasted Loki back with her powers. She then rolled up and started running after the lady, with Loki chasing after her.
“Lucy! Lucy, get back here!” he shouted, trying to catch up with her. He almost caught her, but right when Lucy got close to Sigyn, she launched herself into the air, causing Loki to run right into Sigyn, sending them both to the ground. Sigyn’s books went flying and Loki ended up awkwardly on top of her. And Lucy burst out laughing.
“Well Sigyn, I really didn’t plan on meeting you this way, but at least now I know who my brother is courting,” Lucy said, still hovering in the air.
“So this is your sister,” Sigyn said as Loki helped her gather her books. Lucy saw a tiny grin on her face, and she knew that they would end up liking each other, even though Lucy had just made Loki ram into her.
“Lucy, you’re going to be very sorry when I get you,” Loki said looking up at her.
“Well if you had just told me who your lovely friend was this wouldn’t have happened,” she said with a grin. She floated down a few feet so that she was eye level with Sigyn. “By the way, is my brother a good kisser?”
“That’s it!” Loki said, grabbing Lucy by the waist and pulling her down.
“But I’m not done yet! So have you two…” But Loki cut her off but putting a hand over her mouth.
“Lovely seeing you Sigyn. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go take care of this little monster.” He started to walk away with Lucy, still covering her mouth so that nothing else embarrassing could pop out. “You and I are going to have a talk, sister,” he said, and Lucy heard a bit of mischief in his voice that didn’t mean anything good for her. So, with all her strength, she broke free from Loki and flew up into the air.
“See you Sigyn! I can’t wait for the wedding!”
“Lucy!” Loki shouted, and he ran after his flying sister, leaving Sigyn with her books.
And Sigyn broke out laughing.
